Comprehensive Adult ADHD Assessment
A thorough, respectful evaluation — not a quick checklist
What Makes This Different
Most ADHD evaluations are 15–30 minute checklist appointments. You sit down, answer some questions, and walk out with a diagnosis — or without one — but rarely with genuine clarity about what’s actually happening in your mind.
Ours is a multi-session, comprehensive psychological evaluation designed to give you — and your providers — real answers.
We don’t just ask “Do you have ADHD?” We ask: “What is actually happening in your mind, and what will genuinely help?”
This evaluation is conducted by a licensed clinical psychologist using standardized assessment tools, clinical interviews, and careful differential diagnosis. The result is a detailed report that you, your therapist, and your prescribing physician can all use to guide treatment.
What’s Included in Your Assessment
Your evaluation unfolds across three carefully designed phases, each building on the last to give you a complete picture.
Clinical Intake Interview
90 minutes- In-depth developmental history from childhood to present
- Assessment of symptom onset, pattern, and functional impact
- Exploration of educational, occupational, and relationship history
- Review of medical history, medications, and prior diagnoses
- Discussion of what brought you here and what you’re hoping to learn
Standardized Testing Session
60–90 minutes- ADHD-specific rating scales and self-report measures
- Cognitive and attention performance measures
- Symptom validity testing (ensuring accurate, reliable results)
- Screening for conditions that commonly mimic or co-occur with ADHD (anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep disorders)
Comprehensive Report & Feedback Session
60 minutes- Detailed written report (typically 10–15 pages) including:
- Full diagnostic findings with clinical reasoning
- Differential diagnosis — ruling out conditions that mimic ADHD
- Personalized treatment recommendations
- Accommodation recommendations (for work or school if applicable)
- One-on-one feedback session to review results together
- Letter for your prescribing physician or psychiatrist
- Copy of report sent to your providers (with your consent)
Who Is This Assessment For?
This evaluation is designed for adults who want real answers — not a rubber stamp.
- Adults who suspect they may have ADHD but want more than a quick screening
- Adults with an existing ADHD diagnosis who want a thorough second opinion
- Individuals whose treatment isn’t working and want to explore whether the diagnosis is accurate
- Professionals seeking documentation for workplace accommodations
- Anyone who’s been told “it might be ADHD” but never received a proper evaluation
Conditions We Differentiate From ADHD
Many conditions share symptoms with ADHD. A proper evaluation means carefully distinguishing between them — because the right diagnosis leads to the right treatment.
Frequently Asked Questions
We want you to feel confident and informed before beginning.
Why is this more expensive than a regular doctor visit?
Because this is not a doctor visit — it is a comprehensive psychological evaluation conducted by a licensed clinical psychologist. It includes multiple sessions, standardized testing, hours of scoring and interpretation, and a detailed written report. Most quick-screen ADHD appointments last 15–30 minutes. Ours is a multi-session process totaling 4–6 hours of direct clinical time, plus additional hours for scoring, analysis, and report writing.
What if I don’t end up having ADHD?
Then we’ve potentially saved you from years of wrong medication and ineffective treatment. Your report will include what IS going on and specific treatment recommendations tailored to your actual diagnosis. That clarity is just as valuable — sometimes more so.
Will this help my prescribing doctor?
Absolutely. Your report includes a letter and recommendations specifically designed for your prescribing physician or psychiatrist. Many providers welcome this level of documentation — it gives them the confidence to prescribe effectively and helps ensure you’re on the right treatment path.
Can this be done via telehealth?
Yes — the entire assessment is conducted via secure telehealth, including the clinical interview, standardized testing, and feedback session. Our telehealth-based evaluation is thorough, convenient, and designed to provide the same quality and depth as any in-office process.
How long does the whole process take?
From your first appointment to receiving your final report, the process typically takes 2–3 weeks. The evaluation itself involves 2–3 sessions plus the feedback appointment. We take the time needed to do this right — and that means not rushing through any part of the process.
